Cascade are delighted to announce the publication of a report that Dr David Wilkins has been working on for 24 months.

A Randomised Controlled Trial of Schwartz Rounds has been published by What Works for Children’s Social Care centre. This was investigated by working with eleven local authorities who were randomly allocated more than 2000 members of staff to either attend Schwartz Rounds now or to wait for six-months before attending.

Schwartz Rounds are an intervention widely used in healthcare settings in the UK to help staff manage the social and emotional demands of their work. The project looked at evaluating the use of Schwartz Rounds in social care services in England to see if it made a different for social workers and other social care staff.
