Monthly drop-in sessions for PEs and OSS
PEs and OSSs are welcome to contact the student’s university tutor at any point during placement if you have questions or concerns you would like to discuss.
In addition, we have organised monthly online drop-in sessions, designed to be informal spaces where PEs and OSSs can meet with a tutor, and raise any general queries about the programme and how best to support our students on placement.

Quick guides
In this section, you’ll find a series of quick guides in relation to key aspects of placement.
Completing the portfolio – examples
This section includes examples of both strong and weaker portfolio submissions. The aim is to illustrate the standard of quality expected — not only in the work completed by students, but also in the contributions made by Practice Educators and On-Site Supervisors. These examples are designed to support your understanding of what high-quality, reflective, and well-evidenced practice looks like within the context of portfolio assessment.
Direct observations – information sheets
Direct observations – assent and consent forms
Concerns meetings
If you’re considering a concerns meeting about a student, you should contact the tutor and LA training officer for advice. It may also be helpful to review the types of evidence that would need to be recorded.
Videos
